1: 20MnCr5 Steel Introduction
20MnCr5 steel is a common alloy carburizing steel which has a wide range of applications in industrial manufacturing. This steel is characterized by high surface hardness, maintaining high toughness in the core, good hardenability and good wear resistance. Its chemical composition includes carbon, silicon, manganese, chromium, molybdenum and other elements, of which carbon is one of the most important elements in steel, which, together with alloying elements, forms an alloy carburizer, which improves the surface hardness and wear resistance of steel. Silicon and manganese can refine the organization of steel and improve the strength and toughness of the material. Chromium and molybdenum further enhance the wear and corrosion resistance of steel.

7: 20MnCr5 Steel Application
20MnCr5 is widely used in mechanical parts that require high wear resistance and high surface hardness, mainly including:
Automobile industry: used to manufacture gears, bearings, camshafts, crankshafts and other important parts.
Mechanical manufacturing: used to produce high wear-resistant mechanical parts, such as gear teeth, connecting rods, bushings and so on.

8: 20MnCr5 Steel Heat Treatment
Preheating
First, the workpiece is heated to an appropriate temperature of 550-650 degrees Celsius, a step that prepares it for subsequent hardening and tempering treatments.
Hardening
Subsequently, the workpiece is quickly cooled by immersing it in oil or water to rapidly cool the steel and achieve high hardness.
Tempering
After quenching, the workpiece is heated to an appropriate temperature of 150-250 degrees Celsius, held for a period of time and then cooled. This step is designed to remove quenching stresses while improving toughness.

10: Delivery Condition
For hot forged or hot rolled bar, usually the delivery condition is hot forged or rolled, annealed or QT, black surface or rough turned.
For hot forged plate, usually the delivery condition is hot forged, annealed or QT, milled surface.
For hot rolled plate, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed or QT, black surface.
