1: 1.7225 Steel Introduction
1.7225 is a kind of steel with high strength, wear-resistant, impact-resistant and corrosion-resistant properties. The steel is mainly composed of carbon, chromium, molybdenum and silicon and other elements, of which chromium content is higher, can improve the corrosion and oxidation resistance of steel, molybdenum can increase the strength and wear resistance of steel, while also containing a small amount of manganese, sulfur, phosphorus and other elements, which can improve the processing performance of the steel and mechanical properties.1.7225 steel processing is more difficult, need to apply certain skills and technology, because of the high hardness and toughness of the steel, so need to use more advanced processing equipment and technology. Because of the high hardness and toughness of the steel, it is necessary to use more advanced processing equipment and technology. Generally use the heat treatment process to improve the performance of steel, through heating, cooling and other processes to change the organizational structure and hardness of steel.

7: 1.7225 Steel Application
1.7225 steel is used in the machinery manufacturing industry, it is commonly used in the production of high-precision parts such as cutting tools, cold/hot deformation molds and measuring tools. In addition, it is also widely used in the manufacture of key components such as pistons, valves and valve seats for diesel fuel pumps, as well as cutlery for medical equipment, cutting tools, machine parts, pneumatic hammer tools and piercing tools.
8: 1.7225 Steel Heat Treatment
Normalizing
First, the steel needs to be heated to about 950℃~1000℃ and then cooled naturally in air. This process refines the internal structure of the steel and forms a martensitic organization, which increases the hardness and strength of the steel, but also increases the brittleness and makes it easy to fracture.
Quenching
Subsequently, the steel is quenched at a temperature of 820-850°C to increase its hardness and wear resistance.
Tempering
Tempering is required to reduce the brittleness of the steel and to increase its toughness and malleability. Tempering involves heating the steel to about 200°C to 400°C and then cooling it naturally in air. This step further refines the grain and makes the martensitic organization more stable, while reducing the hardness and strength of the steel.
