Forged ASTM A8 MOD Cold Work Tool Steel Round Bar
1: AISI A8 MOD Steel Introduction
This steel is an improved steel of A8 steel, with good hardenability, toughness, heat treatment dimensional stability. Suitable for punches and cold forging dies with hardness requirements of 55-60 HRC. In addition, it is suitable for manufacturing non-metallic materials due to good hardness, wear resistance and toughness.

7: A8 MOD Steel Application
AISI A8 MOD is suitable for wood chipper knives, slitter knives, scrap shears, plastic granulator knives, tire shredding knives, shear blades, planer knives, punches, and fineblanking dies.
8: A8 MOD Steel Heat Treatment
Annealing
Slowly heat to 870 – 890 ℃ , then slowly Cool to 500 ℃ in heat treatment furnace. Then frosty in make public. After annealing hardness HBS: 229 Max
Quenching
Quenching temperature / ℃ | outlet air cooling, oil cooling or air cooling : 1000 - 1050
Quenching hardness : 59-62 HRC
Tempering
Tempering temperature / ℃ : 150 - 320
After tempering hardness HRC or future: 53 - 60
