1: DIN 1.6582 Steel Introduction
1.6582 Alloy structural steels have high yield strength, tensile strength, endurance strength, yield ratio (generally about 0.85) adequate plasticity and toughness. This type of steel has a fairly high concentration of alloying elements, mainly corrosion-resistant steels, heat-resistant steels, wear-resistant steels and other special steels with physical and chemical properties. The mechanical properties of alloyed structural steels are superior to those of carbon structural steels, especially the heat treatment properties. The alloys are usually produced by EAF /VD /LF and, for special applications, by electroslag refining (ESR).

8: DIN 1.6582 Steel Heat Treatment
Annealing
Temperature range 650-700°C.
Standardization
Temperatures in the range of 850 to 880°C.
Hardening
Temperatures in the range of 830 to 860°C. Oil is usually used as the cooling medium.
Tempering
Temperatures in the range of 540 to 680°C.
In addition, 1.6582 material should be preheated at a temperature between 900 and 1100°C before forging, and forged at a temperature of not less than 900°C, with a forging ratio of not less than 4:1.

10: Delivery Condition
For hot forged or hot rolled bar, usually the delivery condition is hot forged or rolled, annealed or QT, black surface or rough turned.
For hot forged plate, usually the delivery condition is hot forged, annealed or QT, milled surface.
For hot rolled plate, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed or QT, black surface.
