1: SKD61 Steel Introduction

The company owns advanced special steel smelting facilities and forging processing equipment, the main steel-making equipment include 2 set of 50t and 25t ultra-high power electric arc furnaces, 2 set of 60t and 30t LF refining furnaces, 2 set of 60t and 30t vacuum degassing refining furnace. 4 sets of 1-20t electroslag re-melting furnaces.

The main forging equipment mainly include:3 sets of 3t 5t and 8t electro-hydraulic hammers, 3 sets of high-speed forging units of 1600t, 2000t and 4500t respectively.

12: Packing& Delivery

For the delivery, we will choose LCL, FCL and Bulk carrier according to order quantity. Usually if the quantity is less than 10tons, we will recommend LCL. If the quantity is more than 100tons, we will recommend bulk carrier. Usually FCL will be the most common for delivery.

In order to better ensure the safety of your goods, we will provide professional, environmentally friendly, convenient and efficient packaging services. Such as pallet, wooden box, package with woven bag etc.

13: SKD61 Steel Heat Treatment

Heating

Generally 1020-1050 ℃, holding time is about 30-60 minutes. This is followed by oil or air cooling.The heat treatment hardness of SKD61 steel can reach 52-56 HRC.

Quenching

Includes two stages of preheating (500~550°C and 750~800°C) as well as blow cooling or high pressure gas cooling, and finally at 100~150°C into the tempering furnace. Quenching temperature is generally 1000~1050 ℃, the hardness can reach 50~55 HRC, heat treatment deformation is small, can be nitriding treatment to further improve wear resistance.

Tempering

The preheating temperature is 300~350℃, and the tempering heating temperature is between 550~680℃. After tempering air cooling to room temperature, usually three times tempering.

14: SKD61 Steel Application

Plastic Molds: SKD61 is often used in the manufacture of plastic injection molds, extrusion molds, etc. due to its excellent heat resistance and abrasion resistance, which can meet the requirements of high temperature and high pressure environment.

Aluminum Alloy Molds: SKD61 is also often used in aluminum alloy extrusion molds, aluminum die casting molds, etc., in aluminum alloy processing can effectively improve the service life of the mold and production efficiency.

Casting Molds: SKD61 is also suitable for casting mold manufacturing, can meet the casting process of high temperature and high pressure environment requirements, to ensure the stability and durability of the mold.

In addition, SKD61 steel is also suitable for the production of aluminum, zinc, copper alloy extrusion mold, die casting die, hot forging die, and hot shear tooling and other small specifications of the shaded steel, is the production of ejector rods, the Division of the ideal material.

15: Delivery Condition

For hot forged or hot rolled bar, usually the delivery condition is hot forged or rolled, annealed or QT, black surface or rough turned.
