JIS SUP9 Steel is a high quality Cold work Spring Steel, It belong to the high quality high carbon alloy Spring Steel. Oil Quenched & Tempered Hardness is 28-34 HRc. SUP9 steel Annealing delivery hardenss less than 250HB.

7: SUP9 Steel Application
Heavy vehicles, tractors, industrial production load, stress and the diameter of the larger plate spring and helical spring.
8: SUP9 Steel Heat Treatment
FORGING: Hot forming temperature: 1050 – 850°C.
SOFT ANNEALING: Heat to 640 – 680°C, cool slowly in furnace. This will produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 248.
HARDENING: Harden from a temperature of 830 – 860°C followed by oil quenching.
TEMPERING: Tempering temperature: 430 – 500°C, air.
9: SUP9 Steel Delivery condition
For hot rolled bar or hot rolled sheet, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed, black surface.
