817M40 Alloy Steel Pipe
1: 817M40 Steel Introduction
Alloy steel 817M40 is an alloy steel with high strength and good toughness for applications requiring high strength and durability. It has high strength, good toughness, good hardenability and resistance to overheating stability, but also has high white point sensitivity and temper brittleness, which means that under certain conditions it may be brittle or damage. Therefore, attention needs to be paid to proper treatment and service temperatures to avoid these problems. In addition, the poor weldability of 817M40 steel requires high-temperature preheating and post-weld stress relief treatment to improve the reliability and durability of welded joints.
