T8A SK80 C80W1/1.1525 ASTM W1 C80U Carbon Hot Work Tool Steel
1: W1 Steel Introduction
W1 is a simple high carbon steel that is easily hardened by heating and quenching in water, just like ordinary carbon steel alloys. W series tool steels are a very simple alloy group with low cost and simple response to heat and water quench hardening. The alloy does undergo considerable deformation during quenching.
