1: 20MnCrS5 Steel Introduction
20MnCrS5 has good hardenability and quenching properties, and its hardness and wear resistance can be improved by carburizing and quenching processes. 20MnCrS5, imported from Germany, is equivalent to 20CrMnH steel in China. It is carburized steel and can also be used as quenched and tempered steel. The hardenability is good, the heat treatment deformation is small, the low temperature toughness is good, the machinability is good, but the weldability is poor.

7: 20MnCrS5 Steel Application
20MnCrS5 is commonly used in the manufacture of mechanical parts that require high strength and wear resistance, especially for transmission shafts, connecting rods and other parts subject to high loads and high speeds. It can also be used as a large cross-section, high-load carburized parts and tempered parts, such as gears, shafts, worm gears, sleeves, friction wheels.
8: 20MnCrS5 Steel Heat Treatment
Annealing: 20MnCrS5 steel is heated to a temperature in the range of about 800°C to 850°C and then cooled appropriately to relieve stress, improve machinability and provide proper grain size and organization.
Normalizing: 20MnCrS5 steel is heated to temperatures in the range of approximately 870°C to 900°C and then air cooled. Normalizing can be used to resize crystals, increase hardness and strength while improving toughness.
Quenching: 20MnCrS5 steel is heated to temperatures in the range of approximately 850°C to 880°C and then rapidly cooled to room temperature or to a low-temperature medium (e.g., oil or water). Quenching allows the steel to cool rapidly, creating a hard and brittle organizational structure and improving the hardness and wear resistance of the steel.
Tempering: Quenched 20MnCrS5 steels usually require tempering to improve toughness and reduce internal stresses. Tempering temperatures are usually chosen between 150°C and 300°C, depending on the desired balance of hardness and toughness.

10: Delivery Condition
