7: 1.3344 Steel Application
Cutting Tool Manufacturing: For the production of various cutting tools, such as turning tools, cobalt heads, hobbing tools, machine saw blades, etc.
Mold Manufacturing: Suitable for the high performance requirements of the mold scenarios, to provide strong and reliable material support for mold manufacturing.
8: 1.3344 Steel Heat Treatment
Heating: The cutting tool is placed in a high-temperature furnace and heated up to 1000-1100°C with a holding time of 2 hours or more. The purpose of this step is to heat the steel uniformly and convert it to an austenitic organization.
Air Cooling: The steel is rapidly cooled from its high temperature state to martensite by means of rapid air cooling.
Quenching: The steel that has been air-cooled is quenched in oil to achieve a higher hardness, usually at a cooling rate of 15-25°C. The quenching time is usually 1 hour or more.
Tempering: The quenched steel is tempered in the temperature range of 300-600°C for about 1 hour or more to give it better toughness and Mohs hardness.
