Product Description
SKH57 1.3207 HS10.4-3-10 BT42 High Speed Steel Tool Steel
1: 1.3207 Steel Introduction
1.3207 high speed steel is a high quality alloy steel material with excellent mechanical properties and wear resistance. The chemical composition of this steel contains a large amount of tungsten, molybdenum, cobalt and chromium, the addition of these elements makes the hardness and toughness of the steel have been greatly improved, but also has a very good wear resistance and corrosion resistance. Due to its high hardness, toughness and high temperature tempering properties, 1.3207 HSS is well suited for surface coating treatments, especially PVD coating treatments.

7: 1.3207 Steel Application
Tool Manufacturing: 1.3207 HSS is often used to manufacture various tools such as cutting tools, drills and milling cutters to meet the requirements for high hardness and wear resistance.
Mold Manufacturing: As 1.3207 HSS has good cutting performance and wear resistance, it is suitable for the manufacture of various molds, such as stamping molds and plastic injection molds.
Stamping Parts Manufacturing: 1.3207 HSS is often used in the manufacture of stamping parts, such as automotive parts and electronic components, etc., its hardness and wear resistance to meet the requirements of high strength and precision.
Bearing Manufacturing: The hardness and wear resistance of 1.3207 HSS make it suitable for the manufacture of bearings and other parts for high-speed rotating equipment.
8: 1.3207 Steel Heat Treatment
Soft Annealing: Under protective atmosphere, heat up to 850 - 900℃, heat evenly, then cool down to 700℃ in the furnace at a cooling rate of 10℃/hour, and then air-cool.
Stress Relief: After rough machining, the mold should be heated to 600 - 700℃ as a whole, kept warm for two hours, cooled slowly to 500℃, and then air-cooled.
Quenching: preheating temperature 450 - 500 ℃ and 850 - 900 ℃ austenitizing temperature. 560 ℃ tempered three times, each holding time for one hour of hardness.
Quenching Medium: In a vacuum furnace with sufficient positive pressure (≥ 2 bar) gas cooling in isothermal quenching or in a fluidized bed furnace at approx. 550°C air or gas forced cooling. Note: Die quenching must be done by continuous cooling to approx. 50°C, followed by immediate tempering. When optimum toughness of the die is required, use an isothermal quench tank or high pressure gas cooling.
Tempering: For cold work applications, regardless of the austenitizing temperature used, the tool should be tempered three times at 560°C, holding at least 1 hour each time, and after each tempering the tool must be cooled to room temperature, with less than 1% residual austenite after three temperings.
