1: T7A Steel Introduction
T7A is a steel grade of carbon tool steel. The steel toughness is good, chip processing is good, cheap, easy source, hardenability, wear resistance is low, quenching cavity shrinkage tendency is weak, quenching deformation is larger, tempering stability is poor, the hardening depth of water quenching 15-18mm, oil quenching 5-7mm. suitable for the production of easy quenching of small parts, large parts due to the hardening of the layer is shallow and thin, prone to arc cracking.

7: T7A Steel Application
T7A is used in the manufacture of tools that are not subjected to high impact loads and require appropriate hardness and wear resistance, as well as good toughness, such as forging dies, chisels, hammers, punches, metal shear knives, reaming drills, steel seals, carpentry tools, wind tools, machine tool tops, pliers, drilling and chiseling tools, and blunt surgical and medical appliances.
8: T7A Steel Heat Treatment
Normalizing specification: temperature 800-820 ℃, out of the air-cooled, hardness 229-285HBS.
Ordinary annealing specifications: (740-750) ℃ × (2-4) h, <30 ℃ / h of the cooling rate, slow furnace cooling to a temperature of 500-600 ℃, out of the air-cooled.
Isothermal spheroidal annealing specifications:
(740-750) ℃ × (2-4) h, (650-680) ℃ × (4-6) h, after the furnace cooling to 500-600 ℃, out of the air-cooled, hardness ≤ 187HBS.
(750-770) ℃ × (1-2) h, (680-700) ℃ × (2-3) h, after the furnace cooled to 500-600 ℃, out of the air-cooled, hardness 163-187HBS, pearlitic 1-5 grade.
Quenching, tempering specifications: quenching temperature 730-760 ℃, water cooling, water-oil dual-liquid cooling or alkali bath cooling, quenching hardness 57HRC. tempering temperature 160-180 ℃.

10: Delivery Condition
For hot forged bar, usually the delivery condition is hot forged, annealed/QT, rough turned/Black surface.
For hot rolled bar, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed/QT, Black surface.
For Cold Drawn bar, usually the delivery condtion is cold drawn, annealed/QT, peeled/black surface.
For hot rolled plate, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed, milled/black surface.
For hot forged plate, usually the delivery condition is hot forged, normalized/annealed, milled/black surface.
