7: SKS43 Steel Application
Cutting Tools: SKS43 can be used to manufacture various kinds of high-speed cutting tools, high-speed steel inserts, threading cutters, planing cutters, milling cutters and other cutting tools, with excellent cutting performance and wear resistance.
Molds: SKS43 can be used to manufacture high-quality stamping dies, plastic molds and other mold parts, with very high hardness and wear resistance, can ensure the service life of the mold and processing quality.
Machine Tool Parts: SKS43 can also be used to manufacture various machine tool parts, such as bearings, bearing housings, transmission wheels, etc., with good heat treatment properties and strength, which can ensure the stability and reliability of the use of machine tools.
8: SKS43 Steel Heat Treatment
Thermal Processing:
Starting temperature 1020°C, ending temperature 800°C.
Quenching:
Quenching temperature 760 ~780°C, water cooling, water-oil dual-liquid cooling or alkaline bath cooling. Hardness 60HRC.
General Annealing:
Annealing temperature 760 ~770°C, holding time 2 ~4h, then <30°C/h cooling rate, slow furnace cooling to 500 ~600°C, out of the furnace air cooling.
Isothermal Spheroidal Annealing:
(1) 760~770°C ×2-4h, 680~700°C ×4-6h, then furnace cooling to 500~600°C, out of the furnace air-cooled, hardness ≤ 207HBW.
(2) 750~770°C ×1~2h, 680~700°C ×2~3h, hardness 179~207HBw, pearlite organization 2~4 grades, reticulated carbide grade ≤2 grades.
Tempering Treatment:
Quenching temperature 810 ~ 830°C, oil cooling, tempering temperature 640 ~ 680°C, holding time 2 ~ 3h, hardness 197 ~ 217HBW.

10: Delivery Condition
For hot forged bar, usually the delivery condition is hot forged, annealed/QT, rough turned/Black surface.
For hot rolled bar, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed/QT, Black surface.
For Cold Drawn bar, usually the delivery condtion is cold drawn, annealed/QT, peeled/black surface.
For hot rolled plate, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed, milled/black surface.
For hot forged plate, usually the delivery condition is hot forged, normalized/annealed, milled/black surface.
