8: 1.2549 Steel Heat Treatment
1.2549 cold work alloy tool steel has a wide range of processing temperatures of 1050~850°C, which facilitates a variety of forming and machining operations. The annealing temperature is controlled at 720~750℃, and the hardness after annealing can reach below HBW 225, ensuring that the material is easy to further process and cut. The quenching temperature is 800~830℃, and oil is used as the cooling medium to obtain ideal microstructure and hardness.

For hot forged bar, usually the delivery condition is hot forged, annealed/QT, rough turned/Black surface.

For Cold Drawn bar, usually the delivery condtion is cold drawn, annealed/QT, peeled/black surface.
For hot rolled plate, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed, milled/black surface.
For hot forged plate, usually the delivery condition is hot forged, normalized/annealed, milled/black surface.
