1: 60WCrV7 Steel Introduction
60WCrV7 is a high load shock resistant alloy tool steel. Under hardened conditions, 60WCrV7 is a heat-resistant tool steel with high hardness and good toughness as well as impact resistance. 60WCrV7 tool steel is an impact-resistant tool steel with very good toughness and high hardenability. Impact resistant tungsten alloy cold work tools.

7: 60WCrV7 Steel Application
60WCrV7 steel is used in cutting tools for plates (dies, perforators), woodworking tools, punching dies for cutting sheet metal up to 12 mm thick, trimming and splitting dies, cold piercing punches, prefabricated punches, shearing blades, chipping knives, pneumatic chisels, embossing tools, cold cutting shear blades, jetters.
8: 60WCrV7 Steel Heat Treatment
Forging:
Heat to a temperature of 1000-1050°C, then blow gently and quickly. If further work is to be done, reheat when the temperature drops below 900°C. After forging, cool slowly, preferably in a furnace.
Annealing:
As this steel specification is supplied in annealed and workable condition, re-annealing is only necessary when forging or hardening the steel. Heat the steel slowly and uniformly to 800-810°C. It is thoroughly immersed for two hours and then slowly cooled in the furnace.
Stress relief annealing:
For applications where machining operations are severe, we recommend stabilizing the tool before finishing it to help reduce machining strains. Slowly heat to a temperature of 700°C and allow to cool in air.
Hardening:
Preheat the steel at 650°C and then rapidly increase the temperature to 900-950°C.
Tempering:
Slowly heat to the required temperature and air cool thoroughly immersed for 2 hours per 25mm section. For hot working applications, a minimum tempering temperature of 550°C is recommended.

10: Delivery Condition
For hot forged bar, usually the delivery condition is hot forged, annealed/QT, rough turned/Black surface.
For hot rolled bar, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed/QT, Black surface.
For Cold Drawn bar, usually the delivery condtion is cold drawn, annealed/QT, peeled/black surface.
For hot rolled plate, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed, milled/black surface.
For hot forged plate, usually the delivery condition is hot forged, normalized/annealed, milled/black surface.
